Wells Spudded March 1 to March 31, 2019
April 25, 2019

March’s WCSB well count of 466 was 51% lower than February’s numbers, marking the annual spring breakup slowdown. Drilling activity was 29% lower than in March 2018. For the third month running, the McMurray was the most drilled zone with Syncrude replacing Suncor as the busiest operator. Despite the overall activity decrease, Montney and Duvernay drilling remained consistent month-to-month.
